Painter, poet and photographer, the artist chooses media that offer him the extraordinary avenues for self-expression, as well as, the ability to navigate compelling barriers while sharing his own insight and perspective with the viewers. For Andrew Weatherly, art is a tool for personal and social growth. His work invites the viewers in for closer inspection. Weatherly, born with Down Syndrome, maintains that artwork is a tool he uses to advocate for people with disabilities.

Explore the world of dreams & special creations by Ashley, a Down syndrome advocate. Through the work of Ashley and The Ashley DeRamus Foundation, our goal is to increase the awareness and enlighten others about the rewards and positive contributions we make.

Different Brains

Different Brains is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the understanding and acceptance of the basic variations in the human brain known as neurodiversity; ending the stigma attached to the related diagnoses and treatment; uniting silos of resources and research whose goals could be better achieved through collaboration; offering support to families and caregivers; and improving the lives and maximizing the potential of those whose brains may be different.

Downs Designs Dreams advocates disability awareness and promotes independence and instills confidence by donating a special clothing line. Dreams also seeks to establish itself as the standard of excellence for community engagement in education, advocacy, service and fundraising through its Adopt-a-Jean® programs.

Understanding socks grew out of a tie dying project and has taken off as a result of the quality of work and cooperative efforts between people building on each other’s strengths.

Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action is a nonprofit trade association serving Down syndrome associations. DSAIA represents more than 1,000 leaders in the Down syndrome community representing over 80 organizations. Our members range from brand new start-ups to 40-year veteran organizations in the United States and abroad.
